The Madras High Court has stayed the release of Aamir Khan's much awaited movie Ghajini. The producer of the original Tamil movie Ghajini, Salem A Chandrasekaran, has objected to the release of the Hindi remake of Ghajini and applied for a stay order. The order passed by the High Court restrains the producers of the movie from releasing Ghajini in any language including Hindi. Producer of the Hindi remake, Allu Arvind said that they were exploring all the legal options to ensure that the movie was released on time. Director Murugadoss was also the director of the original Tamil film and actress Asin had also acted in the movie.

Producer Chandrasekaran had filed a criminal complaint against Murugadoss for forgery as he claimed that Murugadoss had forged documents inorder to hand away the remake rights in other Indian languages to other film producers.

Meanwhile advance bookings have reached unprecedented levels with tickets already being sold out at many theatres for the first show on Thursday.
